THIS. Every time I decide to eat healthier, but then I walk past food and I’m just like JKLOL…

I went to the Smoky Mountain National Park today, and the weather was so beautiful! I played in rivers, hiked nature trails, and totally stole some pretty rocks. It was great!
That awkward moment when your awkward situation is so awkward that you can’t even turn it into a sarcastic and witty joke on the internet.
This look is inspired by Captain America and the upcoming Avengers movie. It was so fun to do! If anyone wants to know what I used, let me know!
Happy weekend!
Jennifer
I found this man on 7th Avenue in Park Slope. He was leaning heavily on his cane, looking down, wearing a grimaced face. I felt bad for him, so I smiled and waved when I walked past. His face changed completely. He lit up, smiled wide, and gave me a cheery greeting. There was nothing forced about it. He seemed like a man who went through life looking for the smallest excuses to be happy.
I walked 50 feet down the sidewalk, turned around, and walked back to him. “I want to take your photo,” I told him, “because of how big you smiled when I walked by.”
He said: “Well I saw someone smiling at me who I didn’t even know. So I thought: ‘By God! I Better do something!’”I love this.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream $19.50
This is a really great multi-purpose moisturizing cream. It does what it claims to do, which is obviously difficult to come by in the beauty industry. It’s pricey for what is basically a lip balm, but it comes with nearly six times the amount of product in the average lip balm. I can’t imagine running out of it, and the squeeze-tube packaging is super sanitary.
Rimmel London Eye Makeup Remover $4
This is a straightforward makeup remover, but what I like about it is the price point, the consistency, and the fact that it works perfectly to remove tough makeup. Using a makeup remover is an important, often overlooked, step in cleansing your skin, especially to nip the potential for small breakouts. This will remove face makeup, waterproof eye makeup, and lip products, without the oily feeling normally associated with makeup removers.
Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream $35
This is a really wonderful facial cleanser. It’s meant for anti-aging purposes, but that means that it works extra hard to make skin appear bright, even, and fresh. I use it after makeup remover, although I have noticed on the very rare occasion that I skip using a remover that it will remove makeup pretty well. It’s full of ingredients that you can feel good about putting on your skin, and you literally use the size of your fingernail to wash your entire face. (That’s a popular gimmick in the beauty world, but in this case it actually holds true.) I bought a new tube over a month ago, and although I use it every day, it barely looks used. Bonus: this face wash has a really pretty shimmer before it lathers!
For the price of a drugstore eye shadow, you’re getting a really amazing product. The range 120 of colors is diverse and impressive. NYX is a great brand in general, and at an almost too-good-to-be-true price point. The eye shadows, matte bronzing powders, and blushes are among my favorite of any products in their respective categories on the market.
I’ve been a fan since I was too young to appropriately listen to her music, but her new material is awesome, and I’m super excited for her tour and new album! I also love her long-winded album titles.
…which is linked above if you care to see what I bought. I love where I live, but my bedroom is equivalent in size to Harry Potter’s broom cupboard. This TV is perfect because it allows me to save space, avoid a jumble of electronic devices and wires, and it looks sexy mounted on the wall.
